Bio

I am Rae Louise & although I am studying photography in college I also adore writing and have been doing so for pretty much my whole life- since I was old enough to understand the concept of a story, anyhow.

My love for fan fiction started at about age 11 and since then I’ve written in many fandoms, from Harry Potter to Good Charlotte to My Chemical Romance to Deathstars to Poppy Z.Brite’s Lost Souls. It used to be that I‘d only give slash a second glance but as I‘ve gotten older I‘ve started to appreciate much more of the fan fiction spectrum and now read & write het, slash & gen.

As well as writing I also enjoy RPing but usually RP celebs only, and they‘re usually music related, i.e. I am currently playing Jimmy Sullivan, drummer for Avenged Sevenfold, in a LJ RP community based on the Potterverse. I am interested in doing more Harry Potter RP but Harry Potter communities never seem to work for me- if anyone would be interested in RPing exclusively over MSN or AIM that would be awesome- I’m particularly into the Blacks, Lestranges, Malfoys and 2nd Generation (e.g. Teddy & Scorpius). Leave me a comment to let me know if you‘re up for it!

The genres I write in (and RP) vary but I love to sink my teeth into something juicy, depraved and deliciously kinky. I have very squicks and a long list of disturbing things which I adore, ranging from incest to necrophilia. I‘m also a sucker for backstory, or stories which fill in parts of the plot Rowling glossed over during the books.

Harry Potter

I was first ready Harry Potter by a teacher who also happened to be a huge Potter fan- she really had a knack for telling those stories, putting on the voices and such, and it‘s her I have to thank, in some part, to who I am today. She’s to blame for my obsession! I’m sure she didn’t imagine the eight year olds in her class writing pornographic fiction about Draco’s Dad but here I am. I think she‘d be pretty impressed that I was planning a Potter tattoo though (it will be my third tattoo, and I’m thinking it over carefully).

I’ve always kind of stayed on the outskirts of fandom (I’m pretty shy, I guess). Just lurked and occasionally posted my own stuff, but I’m really looking to immerse myself more, discuss with people and as I said earlier, RP. Writer’s block can be a bitch, and sometimes college work gets in the way (who knew there was more to becoming a professional photographer than aiming your camera right whilst in an explosive moshpit?!) but I’m as enthusiastic as they come.
